All the best with your goals!  And feel free to ask if you have a question or need help.

3 common blocks to achieving goals:

  1. The goal is not inspiring enough.  If your goal is not inspiring enough, it is easy to get distracted and procrasinate.  You are much more likely to achieve a goal that is highly inspiring to you because if the reward is great enough you will move mountains to achieve it! You will commit the time, energy and resources to make it happen!  You will keep moving towards it, even when the going gets tough!

  2. Lack of time.  This indicates that your goal is not inspiring enough... if it was, you would prioritise your goal and make the time to take the actions required to make it a reality.  Remember, you don't have to do everything yourself.  With great time management techniques you can achieve a huge amount in a short space of time.  Learn more...

  3. Lack of motivation.  Again... you guessed it! This indicates your goal is not inspiring enough, or perhaps it is not clear enough.  Vague, waffly goals are hard to achieve.  If the goal posts keep moving or you can't picture them clearly, or you're not sure where they are exactly, you will waste a lot of time, energy and resources trying to achieve them—usually only to find out you have gone in the wrong direction.  You can understand how demotivating that can be.  My advice... make your goal very clear.  Learn how to write a powerful inspiring goal...

Be inspiring by being inspired

How do you get inspired?

Most people say they are inspired by seeing other inspiring people and observing what they have achieved.  On

e of the key reasons people set goals is to feel like they have achieved something.  Often this is important to high acheivers because they then become an inspiration to others.

Become the inspiring person by being deeply inspired

Personal Values play a huge role in motivating people to acheive their goals.  The highest value behind most goals is happiness.

It is important that your goal is in alignment with your values, the more important the value, the more inspiring the goal will be.  Find out more about identifying inspiring values.

Here is a list of tips and tricks to keep you inspired when setting and working towards achieving your goals:

  • Identify your big WHY?  Why do you really want to achieve this goal?  Does it align with your values?
  • List all the ways you will create positive affects by working towards and achieving your goal.
  • Share your goal with someone who will support and encourage you.  In the EKO system you can invite Supporters for your goals.
  • Look for evidence that your goal is possible.  Whenever you doubt your ability to achieve your goal, focus on the examples of success and investigate how other people have achieved it.
  • Make it fun.  Give yourself a challenge... set yourself a 30-Day 'Tude Challenge!
  • Keep track of your successes.  Every little bit counts, so make sure you acknowledge your progress every day no matter how big or small.
  • Stay positive!  Your attitudes and beliefs play a HUGE part in whether you achieve your goal or not.  Make sure you are constantly consciously choosing a positive attitude.
  • Break your goal into milestones (smaller steps).  Sometimes a goal can seem too big and overwhelming.  If you break it down into smaller steps it can suddenly become very achievable.
  • Goals that are 'bigger than you' are more inspiring to all.  List all the people you will positively impact once you have achieved your goal.
